Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha along with the educational facilities, always give equal importance to its social responsibility by providing services to senior citizens through Old Age Homes and shelter to the court committed girls. The shelter to the court committed girls is provided in Mahilashram Hostel along with other girls in a hostel building. For these students, the Samstha has introduced a new scheme,“Sankalp 365†for inviting donations for the expenditure on food for the court committed girl students in Mahilashram Hostel.
Mahilashram Hostel
Mahilashram Hostel has been catering the needs of the girls from all over Maharashtra for more than 110 years. Mahilashram Hostel has different divisions according to the age group of the girls. The divisions include Venubai Hostel and two buildings of Rama Sadan.
The girls in the Mahilashram Hostel are provided with healthy food. Samstha ensures their overall development through Yoga and outdoor games under the supervision of trained teachers. All festivals are celebrated so as to maintain homely atmosphere in the hostel. The Samstha has a separate Medical Department with full time Medical Officer available for all the hostels.
The Mahilashram Hostel as of now has around 1500 girls in the hostel who are from Std.5thto Std.12th. Out of these girls around 500 girls are under total or partial parenthood of Samstha.
Our Appeal
Samstha has introduced a scheme,“Sankalp 365†for the students of Mahilashram Hostel which would not succeed without the whole hearted support of philanthropist in you. The expenditure on the food of these students collectively is approximately Rs.15000/- per day based on the present day costing. A sincere appeal is made to the philanthropists and well-wishers of the Samstha to donate in the following way under this scheme.
Donate one time amount of Rs.2.00 Lakhs or in multiple of it. The interest earned on this amount will be utilized to provide food to the students of Mahilashram Hostel for one day per year for next 10 years.
The donation can be made by cheque in favour of“Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samsthaâ€.Any donations made are eligible for income tax exemption u/s 80(G) of the Income Tax Act.
